How long is now (April 14th) by Mylene

“When we return to normal life”. The discussion over gradually reducing the measures taken by governments to slow the progression of the coronavirus is intensifying. But what is “normal”? Can we simply return to a life before the virus? Or has life changed, perhaps irreversibly? The coronavirus has certainly led us to consider a few fundamental questions that perhaps cannot be ignored, even after the virus has left us, for example how do we care and look out for each other, how we treat vulnerable members of society, whose lives matter more than others, and which kind of society we live in. When we return to normal, I hope it will be a different “normal” from what we know.
