I am dreaming about the future. With anxiety and worry, but also with excited anticipation. Due to COVID-19, economists predict that we will be facing an economic downturn that is worse than the financial crash of 2008/9. That’s the bad news. But as with any crisis, perhaps this is also an opportunity to evaluate some of one’s own values. Having lived through challenging early childhood experiences, I never wanted to waste life, or what remains of it. My life philosophy is to make the most of life, create memorable experiences, and have fun. The economic recession for me will be a good time to say goodbye to stressing about money and jobs for a while, to take some time out, and take my bike on an around the world trip for a year. Surely, a life experience to remember.
